Hello, there is no relationship, I believe they just used the same name despite S3Drive being older. It's definitely confusing so only @Tom can say if there would be a legal issue regarding any trademark.

Hi @iamnotmad, As @Xenthys® already mentioned, there isn't any relationship, these are run by a different totally unrelated entities. We're a company that solely runs S3Drive and that's how we're called. Product that you've mentioned, seem to be called: "Callback Technologies S3 Drive" and is just a single software using their convention of functional names, e.g.: "SFTP Drive" or "CBFS Sync", or "<protocol> <function>". If you're looking for an S3 client that works on all platforms, including mobile and web, supports Rclone and E2E encryption, then certainly you would be looking for: https://s3drive.app/ I hope that helps! Hi! Thanks for the info. In fact I just purchased your S3Drive yesterday. Primarily for use with rclone. Works pretty darn well. Would love to see a "systray" type icon on Linux (KDE Plasma/Gnome, etc) for things like quick sync status, or other quick access. Is that already a feature request? I did not see it in the list, but could have missed it. Thanks again! (edited)

Awesome. Thanks. Interestingly. The systray icon on my KDE Plasma 6x Desktop (using CachyOS - Arch based) the icon does not show, but it's there - it's just the icon that does not show (a blank spot). Could be due to some Plasma customization though I suppose. Couple other questions: 1) The Launch at startup switch does not seem to function. 2) I have 2 rclone mounts, iCloud drive and MS Onedrive. I can get them both to mount, but does not happen automatically, and behaves a little weird. I can certainly do this by mounting these just using rclone, but was trying to do this through your tool. Should this work? Thanks again, and keep rollin' you've got a good basis to build on with this app! Thank you. (edited)

On Cinnamon you get an ugly placeholder icon, rather than anything connected to the app.

Hi, iOS in-app purchase is available only on iOS. If you would like to purchase all platforms license it can be purchased on our website as per FAQ: https://s3drive.app/faq?q=website_vs_inapp The: Ultimate (in-app) annotation that's being displayed isn't tied to the account. It's a message that overrides the: Free plan header, just on that specific platforms. Some of our users that have purchased in-app Ultimate and then registered free account on our website (which is entirely optional) complained that it says Free (technically correct) despite their in-app purchase, hence we overlay: Ultimate... even though it's not assigned at the account level. Hi, You can start with 120GB (e.g. monthly) and then once you're ready to upgrade, you can cancel 120GB (it will be active until the end of its monthly billing period) and get 600GB.

Do you refer to Media backup? What issues are you having? Normally if an upload fails it will get auto-retried during next run.

This way, when the recipient sees the card, they scan the code and can see the video too. Sometimes its a personal greeting, sometimes its getting trolled with a meme video! I want to know if I can host these videos on the cloud with S3 and get its link and create a QR with it. Is this service suitable for this use case? Since this card is going to be (hopefully) kept with them forever, I wanted a storage for longterm use. (edited)

Hi! That's not entirely possible purely with raw S3 link, since the maximum expiration time of shared resource is 7 days. The workaround would be to e.g. point the QR code, to a "redirection link", which would then point to an S3 presigned URL. The redirection link would stay always the same, but it would point to dynamically updated presigned URL. You could do yourself with some scripting, however I am not sure if I would go that way. There is always a tiny risk that links won't update/swap and "redirection link" points to expired resources. The alternative is to set up some "lightweight" service, which can expose your S3 for sharing. Something like Nextcloud or Seafile, but much lighter and easier for setup. In the near future we will aim to solve that problem by either providing S3 proxy or link shortener (with presigned URL regeneration) or both from the S3Drive itself. In the meantime if you would like to create non-expiring links from S3, you can check our S3 Storage plans: https://s3drive.app/pricing?q=storage You can generate non-expiring link to the resource, and you can also generate S3 API keys to upload files if you need. Unfortunately we don't offer public link sharing as a part of our free offering. Finding a balance between fulfilling the legal requirements (DMCA's or other take down requests), but also not hurting our users (with unjustified resource removal) requires fair amount of review time that we can't afford as a small team just yet.

Hey Tom, neat app - really useful for syncing to Proton folders. I bought a license after seeing the comment here I think I've found a bug where the include/exclude rules aren't being respected whatsoever #deleted-channel Could you please advise when free?
