Hello, I'm having trouble logging into s3drive from my laptop which is a fresh install of windows 11. I click sign in and nothing happens. However when I type an incorrect password it lets me know it's incorrect, but the correct password simply does nothing when clicking sign in. I've tried different networks and disabling windows firewall but neither resolved the issue. Any ideas?

Hi, There may be an issue with access to Windows Data Protection API (DPAPI) to save the session after login. In most cases it is available on user's machine, so we haven't implemented any specific workarounds. Do you run any non-standard Windows 11 installation or perhaps your Windows is part of the corporate domain? Do you use local Windows account? Is it an Administrator account? By any chance, at the bottom of the login page, ca you please click: About and then navigate to: Logs? Is there any error/warning or any log entry that gets created after you try to login? Thanks!

Please also try our newest release: 1.12.0 which also includes updated dependencies. There is always a small chance that your issue is addressed as a part of that.

Just updated. This is what I get I think it might be that DPAPI thing you're talking about as it's a part of a corporate domain.

In a next release (1.12.1) within a few days we will provide a fallback that will allow to store credentials outside of DPAPI (if it isn't available), there will be relevant prompt displayed to let user know about that. It's not ideal, but at least app will start. In the future we will try running S3Drive once it's connected to a domain and see if there is anything on our end that we need to configure in order for DPAPI to work. In the meantime you can contact your administrator to ask if DPAPI is available in your setup.

I will let you know once it's out. That way we can also 100% confirm if issue is DPAPI related.

Still the same issue it seems. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot further?

there was no extra prompts or anything, issue remains the same on the new version
