Well I dont use an iPhone so I cant recommend anything. But as far as I know this app is not open source and if you want to see what traffic it goes out the app use a firewall app to see what goes out and block at DNS level maybe

Is there any estimated date for some audit? Additionally, I was wondering if we could get some breakdown of any domains or IP addresses the app tries to contact and what each of them is? Will the app work if those domains are blocked?

There is a plan for offline licensing: https://s3drive.canny.io/feature-requests/p/offline-licensing which wouldn't require s3drive.app nor auth.s3drive.app if you wanted to use Lifetime license purchased through our website. I hope that helps a little and I would be keen to know if our list matches what you're finding.

Mostly because audits aren't free thing and once we settle for a new cipher, then it would render previous audit out of date. We would then need to spend something around 5 figures on a new audit. Given our scale that's not a small amount and there are plenty other development things that can be delivered with that budget.

Yes, it will be possible to use Lifetime license even the ones that were bought before Offline licensing gets implemented.

Very likely as 2FA doesn't seem to be supported by Rclone just yet: https://github.com/rclone/rclone/issues/3165 https://github.com/rclone/rclone/pull/6868#issuecomment-2278507393 and it seems that Mega isn't exactly very keen in getting it to work either:

Our onsite download is already using multichannel downloading. Also, these foreign tools cannot detect your quota and could limit your bandwidth.

Once Rclone starts supporting 2FA for Mega, we will integrate it in S3Drive.

If E2E encryption is enabled then video thumbnails aren't supported just yet. For S3 back-ends in most cases thumbnail should load just fine. Do you have E2E enabled? Does it show video icon, black square or blocked thumbnail icon? What's you video file format?

Can you confirm that in fact there aren't any previous mounts that aren't cleaned up / unmounted? Did you install macFUSE completely, which also implies macOS reboot?

Hello. I have a question regarding pricing. If I would choose the 1200GB storage option. Can it be shared by several of my clients? For instance have my 3 profiles on my GOS phone each have their own folders and not that all media gets thrown in one bucket? Do you guys support WebDav or DAVx5?

Hi! If you buy storage from us you can then create your own buckets and generate S3 API keys, all within your storage quota. You can then connect to these buckets from S3Drive itself. On external/clients devices you wouldn't use your login details, but instead the generated S3 API keys.

You can connect to WebDav from S3Drive and setup e.g. sync from/to that WebDav endpoint. If you would like to use WebDav to upload data directly to S3Drive (instead of S3 protocol), then this isn't supported natively just yet, but we plan to expand on list of supported upload protocols, WebDav being pretty high on the list. The alternative before we get to that would be to use some proxy service either managed or self-hosted, e.g.: https://github.com/hrntknr/s3dav-proxy

I haven't used this s3dav proxy personally, however we've used rclone serve command (https://rclone.org/commands/rclone_serve_webdav/) multiple times and it worked really well. The issue is that set up on Anroid wouldn't be easy, instead you would probably have to "install" it on your VPS. The other alternative is to use some paid service that can do that, e.g. Multcloud: https://www.multcloud.com/tutorials/amazon-cloud-drive-webdav-access-5740i.html (We're not affiliated with them), but I would probably set up encryption password on your backups (If it's possible with Seedvault). Im working on building an rclone profile that will allow me to do some selective folder caching and assign a larger local cache size so i can stream some of my videos offline. I have been using your software and uploaded a significant amount using v2 encryption. Do you have a custom rclone config that can allow it to read this?

Did you enable "Media backup"? In a left-hand drawer menu you can navigate to "Media backup" and make sure that you've disabled backup, including background backup. If there is backup already running you can scroll down and click: "Stop backup" button.

User's default space isn't removable. Only additionally created S3 buckets are removable provided they're empty. That's common behavior across S3 providers and there is no exception here. If you want to start fresh, ideally create a new bucket and then start using it as your dedicated space.

The problem is the Android app keeps crashing when creating thumbnails. As I didn't want all my media in the standard media sync folder.

This is unexpected. Does it happen after heavy scrolling or straight away when you open folder with media files? Not sure if GrapheneOS runs any more aggressive memory settings. You can temporarily disable: "Generate thumbnails" in "Account settings", or you can disable "Show image thumbnails" in the "Global settings". Not a long-term solution, but at least this would prevent app crashing before we can troubleshoot that issue.

Once you create new bucket, you would then want to connect to it using: "S3 compatible" option instead of "S3Drive". Please check attached screenshot. If you use: "S3Drive" option instead, you will instead login to the default space. When we've implemented S3 bucket creation we've had in mind programmatic use and compatibility with S3 protocol, we didn't exactly have "additional user space" in mind, that's why it's not yet natively integrated, but instead requires "S3 route" which is pretty much standard workflow across providers.

Yes, we support any compatible S3 provider: https://docs.s3drive.app/setup/providers/#s3-providers but that way you won't be utilizing your S3Drive's storage quota, so I am certainly willing to help out setting up S3Drive buckets.

Using V2 encryption would require adding this to the crypt: cipher_version = 2 however that's not yet supported by the official Rclone client, as https://github.com/rclone/rclone/issues/7192 isn't merged in. It requires more work, mostly in the area of unit tests and documentation that we need to do, in order for maintainer to accept the Pull Request. On what OS do you want to read your files? V2 cipher that we've built is open-source though, we could technically publish "unofficial" Rclone binaries

I appreciate your effort. This is because bucket name can't contain uppercase characters. We'll certainly need to make this more user friendly to avoid confusion and/or actually allow upercase characters. (edited)

You can use Backblaze bucket just fine, you can combine all storage types how you want really.
